Our Care Team

Our multidisciplinary care team comprises licensed nurses, certified caregivers, and healthcare professionals with specialized training in senior care. All team members undergo comprehensive background checks and continuous education in best practices for elderly care.

Our Multidisciplinary Care Team

Our care network draws professionals from across Malaysia's regulated healthcare workforce. Registered nurses hold valid Annual Practising Certificates (APC) issued by the Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB) under the Nursing Act 1950. Physiotherapists are registered with the Malaysian Physiotherapy Association (MPA) and hold current practising certificates under the Allied Health Professions Act 2016. Occupational therapists are similarly registered and contribute to independence assessments and home modification planning.

Medical oversight is provided by registered medical officers and geriatricians credentialled by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC). Dietitians registered with the Malaysian Dietitians' Association advise on nutrition plans for residents with diabetes, dysphagia, or malnutrition risk. Social workers hold degrees in social work or counselling and assist families with care transitions, JKM applications, and financial planning support.

Ongoing Training and Professional Development

We believe the quality of care is inseparable from the quality of the people delivering it. Our ongoing training programme includes:

  • Annual Basic Life Support (BLS) and AED recertification for all clinical staff
  • Dementia-specific person-centred care training (aligned with ADFM best practice guidelines)
  • Manual handling and safe patient movement certification to reduce staff injury and resident falls
  • Medication management competency assessment every two years for all nursing staff
  • Cultural competency training covering Malaysia's Malay, Chinese, Indian, and other community needs
  • Mental health first aid for early identification of depression and anxiety in residents

All training records are maintained in staff portfolios and are available for inspection on request.

Caregiver Ratios and Supervision

Staffing ratios directly affect the safety and quality of care. Our facilities operate within the following framework, which meets or exceeds the minimum standards prescribed by Malaysia's Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998 (PHFSA):

Day shift: A minimum of one registered nurse per 20 residents, with additional care assistants supplementing personal care tasks. Night shift: A minimum of one registered nurse on duty at all times, supported by care assistants for every 30 residents. Dementia units: Enhanced ratios — one trained staff member per eight residents during structured activity programmes.

All shifts are documented in the duty roster and signed off by the facility manager. Families may request to view staffing schedules at any time.
